Statement of Faith

We believe that all Scripture (Old and New Testaments) was “given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”  We further believe that the inspiration was not “by the will of man but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” and that the inspiration includes the very words of Scripture.  We also believe that the Scripture is the only complete and final revelation from God and is the supreme standard of all faith and practice. 2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21.

We believe in one God eternally co-equal in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  Genesis 1:1-26; Exodus 20:2-3; Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 Peter 1:2.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Eternal Son of God, who became man when He was conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary.  We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ lived a sinless life.  We further believe that Christ died for our sins and was buried, that He rose again the third day according to Scripture, and that He ascended into heaven.  In addition, we believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is our Great High Priest, and is the only and sufficient Mediator between God and man.  Genesis 3:15; Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 5; Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:35; John 1:14, 20:16-17; 19-20; Galatians 3:13; Romans 5:6-11; 1 Corinthians 15:34; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 4:8; Philippians 2:6-8; Hebrews 2:9, 4:15, 7:25; 1 Peter 1:18-20.

We believe that God the Holy Spirit is the administrator of the things of God—convicting of sin and regenerating the sinner revealing truth to and enabling and energizing believers in matters of prayer and service. John 14:16-17; John 14:26; John 16:8-11; John 3:5-6; Romans 8:14, 16, 26, 27; Ephesians 1:13-14.
